FIRST TIME ON STAGE
275Not everyone can live a life loving art
and creativity. It is so pleasant to live among the marvellous magic world of
art.... All the more, being deeply interested in theatre art and giving your
heart to the magic of the stage gives you unique feelings. Through tireless
work and proper use of my mentors' advice, the image I created on stage has
been a great support for me in moving forward on my creative path. In addition
to my main job, I have developed a passion for acting in theatre productions.
It was a dream come true for me. I also had the opportunity to perform in
theatre productions. As an aspiring artiste, I played a character on stage.
This character is one of those characters that have such a unique impact and
weight. This play, written by Govshutgeldi Danatarov and Abdylaziz Redzhepov,
was staged at the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theatre of Arkadag city, which
was opened for use with the blessing of our Hero Serdar of Arkadag. This work
was staged by the young director Bakhtiyar Abayev. The director worked
tirelessly on stage, uniquely approaching this work and demonstrating his
talent.
This performance was dedicated to the Day
of Culture and Arts, as well as to the Day of Makhtumkuli Pyraghi Poetry and
the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Pyraghi. We - young artists and teachers -
are very proud to present the stage work for the first time in the city of
Arkadag as part of the Culture Week.
I was entrusted to play the role of Mengli, one of the
main characters in the play The Light of the World. Mengli's character belongs
to the lyrical genre, and he is unable to meet his beloved. Well, when I was
entrusted with this role, I was nervous at first. ‘How will I portray such a
protagonist, will I play the role of Makhtumkuli Pyragi Menli's favourite wife
well or will I miss everything?’ - was spinning in his head. On the occasion of
the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, despite the fact that he
enthusiastically performed in this play, staged for the first time in honour of
the poet in the State Drama Theatre named after Aman Gulmamedov in the city of
Arkadag, which has no equal in the world, being entrusted with such a
responsible role increased my passion for art and creativity. During the
preparation for the performance I was greatly helped by the advice of our
director and teachers. Words cannot describe the excitement I felt on the day
of the play's premiere. At the end of the performance, the audience stood up
and applauded my small effort and the image I had created, which I was very
proud of. That day was so beautiful, it was amazing. Didar Kovusov, who played
the lead role of Makhtumkuli Pyraghi, played the role of Makhtumkuli Pyraghi so
masterfully despite his youth. It was also fun to work with him in the scenes
we play together. We say thank you to our Heroic Friend, our Comrade Heroic
Serdar, who gives us great opportunities to create such wonderful characters
and develop our culture and art.
