255In independent and Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan, under auspices of our esteemed President, level of development in modern conditions of national theatrical art has been determined. Major changes are being made to national and classical features of theater.

1. Acting Arts (Drama and Film Art)
• Acting Arts (Drama and Film Art) – bachelor’s degree
In independent and eternally Neutral Turkmenistan, there is an unequivocal concern for prosperity of theatrical art. Under auspices of our esteemed President, level of development in modern conditions of the national theatrical art has been determined, there have major reforms on demand for film and television modernization of this field of art, national and classical features of cinema and television. Theaters have acquired wonderful buildings that meet world standards, and professionals trained to work in theaters are trained and professionally trained by introducing achievements of world theaters to the national and spiritual education.
Development of playwrights, actors and directors is carried out mainly on basis of curricula approved by Turkmen State Institute of Culture. Today, Institute of Culture combines theoretical training with production experience, with aim of making work of preparing bachelors for theatrical art.
By using of such opportunities, it is important for theaters to train drama and film actors in view of need for highly educated bachelors, i.e., drama and film actors, and is considered one of main requirements of today.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree can hold positions in theaters, cinematography, provincial cultural centers, folk theaters, art schools and a number of other cultural centers of country.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree should be person with highly professional, cultural and healthy, who can find benefit of people loyal to Motherland, nation, esteemed President, who truly understands requirements of modern Turkmen society, policy of our esteemed President and can implement it without deviation.
Since these requirements are primarily intended for playwrights and cinema actors, it is intended to analysis of millennia-old history of theater and film art, to study it thoroughly, to apply theory of television and its analysis of today's problems, to help them to solve them, to help them to make scientific proposals.
Our country's theater and film art have come a long and complicated way. For that playwrights and cinema actors, must be person who is well-prepared and well-versed in own profession, who is always striving to expand and deepen own knowledge and vision, and who is able to work in harmony with society.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree
- basics of general theoretical and humanities courses offered by Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan;
- basics of production and theoretical courses;
- basics of general and theoretical subjects in sufficient quantities for study of theatrical art;
- history of Turkmen theater and cinema, history of foreign theaters, Turkmen literature, foreign literature, world classical playwrights, history of cinema and television, life and work of Turkmen actors, life and work of foreign actors, ethics, aesthetics, art, thoughtful work on methods of spreading of history of music, psychology, speech and language culture, Turkmen national culture to world, perfect use of knowledge gained in these subjects by studying foreign languages (Russian, English) in the practice and spreading achievements of theatrical art.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree
By fully mastering curriculum envisaged by institute, bachelor must be polite and talented, perfecting own career as a highly educated drama and film actor, constantly improving own career, making a significant contribution to development and improvement of modern drama and film art with scientific and creative research. He/she should be aware of world theater and film art and actively promote reforms taking place in our beloved Motherland in the world of Turkmen theater and film art.

- should be able to find a scene solution for a newly staged performance with director;
- should be able to promote creative work of theater in newspapers and magazines, on TV and radio, among general public.

2. Drama directing
• Drama directing – Bachelor’s degree
By increase of demand for drama theater in context of modern development, it aims to perfect this field of art, to create national and classical features of theatrical art, to provide highly educated bachelors in view of need for director of drama theater in our country. Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree must be highly professional, cultured and healthy, able to protect benefits of people, loyal to their Motherland, nation, President, who truly understands requirements of modern Turkmen society, policy of our esteemed President and can implement it without deviation.
Bachelor must be able to please public, to lead it, to educate staff in spirit of unity, purposefulness, patriotism, to continuously and orderly improve own theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to use own accumulated scientific knowledge in own field and to organize their work on a scientific basis.
Bachelor must be a person who is thoroughly scientific and practically trained, who has mastered own profession, who is always striving to expand and deepen own knowledge and vision, who is able to work in harmony with society.

- basics of general and theoretical subjects in sufficient quantities to address production and research issues;
- all methods of directing art;
- basics of directing, history of Turkmen and foreign theater, creative psychology, stage language and spoken culture, stage movement and martial arts, organization of theater work, theater equipment, art decorations, music and art, art, world art, Turkmen and foreign dramaturgy, history of film and television, foreign languages, such as Russian, English, etc.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree:
Bachelor must be clever, able to run his or her ideas through artistic means and be able to convey them to audience on basis of correct logical thought sequence, to be a highly humane, demanding person.
- Acting together with policies of our Esteemed President in our country;
- Creative work based on orders of our esteemed President workers of culture and art, workers of theaters;
- to be director of drama theater, who is extremely talented, who works secretly, who is able to put forward what he/she wants to say in own work;
- director of drama theater must be able to develop teaching methods of course for training of well-qualified specialists and preachers working in theaters of Turkmenistan;
- scenering a play in a theater;
- working with playwrights;
- working with all theater professionals:
- to know very well theater equipment and their careful use;
- working with theater staff;
- to understand very well language of scenering play;
- to know structure of theater building;
- to know works of theater's subdivisions;
- to establish disciplinary rules in theater;
- to be able to do things like promote creativity of theater.

3. Dramaturgy
• Dramaturgy– bachelor’s degree
By increase of demand for Turkmen National Theater, Film and Television Arts in context of modern development, it aims to perfect this field of art, to create national and classical features of theatrical art, to provide highly educated bachelors in view of need for playwrights-screenwriters in theaters, film and television channels of our country.
Students who are educated in the preparatory field of bachelor degree must be highly professional, cultured and healthy, able to protect benefits of people, loyal to their Motherland, nation, President, who truly understands requirements of modern Turkmen society, policy of our esteemed President and can implement it without deviation.
Bachelor must be able to please public, to lead it, to educate staff in spirit of unity, purposefulness, patriotism, to continuously and orderly improve own theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to use own accumulated scientific knowledge in own field and to organize their work on a scientific basis.

Bachelor must be talented in dramaturgy and screenwriting, able to run his or her ideas through artistic means and be able to convey them to audience and readers on basis of correct logical thought sequence, to be a highly humane, demanding person.
